- Label boxes on all four sides and top for easy identification.
- Use available space inside dresser drawers & large appliances, such as stoves and refrigerators,
to store smaller items. - Pack heavy items such as books and tools in small boxes.
- Wrap all furniture with blankets or pads to prevent scratching.
- Tightly seal all boxes with packing tape to prevent dust from entering.
- Clean & dry all items being stored.
- Pack as much as you can in the same size boxes for easy stacking & space management.
- Pack books flat to protect their spines.
- Pack lamps and lampshades in individual boxes.
- Pad all bed frames, head boards, mirrors & paintings with blankets.
- Use lots of paper to pack dishes and glasses.
- Place all boxes on pallets to allow for air flow.
- Drain all gasoline and oil from lawnmowers and all small engines.
- Use trash cans to store shovels, hoes, and rakes.
- Mattresses should be covered and stored, propped up.
- Place tables and dressers top-to-top to save space.
- Always use high quality locks on you unit.
- Caution! Do not store anything combustible. (I.E. gas, solvents, paint, paint thinner)
- Try to leave an isle down the center of the unit for easy access.
- Put all TV and electronic devices in the rear of the unit.
